How These Tables Work:

Last Update: Monday, January 30, 2006

The restaurant listings are divided into rows (one per restaurant) and columns, defined as follows:

Restaurant Name
Self-explanatory.
Street Address
Self-explanatory. (BTW, I've often toyed with the idea of having the address text linked to online maps, but map sites often change their coding technology, requiring massive overhauls on my part. It could also make the larger pages much slower to load.)
City, State, Zip
Self-explanatory.
Phone/Fax
Self-explanatory.
Online
Links to any reviews, websites or articles I've found pertaining to this restaurant.
Hours
Hours of operation, sometimes divided into lunch and dinner. To save space, I've abbreviated "a.m." as "a" and "p.m" as "p."
Price Range
Typical meal prices. Can be subjective, depending on the type of restaurant. Sometimes I've listed specific dollar figures, where I have access to a menu. In other cases, I've used dollar signs, with one $ for each $10 you're likely to spend per person on dinner.
Sushi? Bar, Chef, Train, Rolls, AYCE
B = Bar: a dedicated sushi bar where you can watch the chefs at work.
C = Chef: a dedicated, professionally trained sushi chef. Can be subjective: what exactly constitutes "professionally trained"?
T = Train or Track: a "kaitenzushi" style restaurant, where small color-coded plates of sushi are served on a conveyor belt, and diners pay by the plate. Sometimes the conveyor belt takes the form of a train track with miniature flatbed cars, or wooden boats in a moving water trough.
R = Rolls: they serve only basic rolls (i.e., no sashimi or nigiri), generally as a token side order at a teriyaki joint.
A = AYCE: All You Can Eat, buffet-style.
Thomas Map Coords
For areas covered by the Thomas Guide map books, these are the page numbers and row/column coordinates for the map locations.
Last Update
The date, month or year the information was last updated or confirmed. A specific date (like 1/16/06) usually indicates a phone call or personal visit. A month and year only (like 1/06) usually refers to the date of an ad or outside review in a magazine, newspaper, etc.
Notes/Summary
A quick sound-bite or summary, with salient quotes from various websites or my own observations.
