Note: The Portland listings are very large, and may take some time to appear, unless you have a fast connection and a fast processor. Please be patient while the tables load.

These listings are divided into five sections:

  1. Restaurants Definitely Serving Sushi
    Note: Whenever possible, I try to verify by phone or by personal visit that the menu includes sushi. Otherwise, I go by their website, or by any other online reviews or listings.
  2. Restaurants I Need to Contact
    This section is in progress. I don't know for sure if these restaurants serve sushi; I need to call them and find out.
  3. Restaurants Probably Not Serving Sushi
    Most of these are teriyaki or bento joints, and there are really too many for me to call and verify. There may be a few that include sushi on the menu, but it's probably just California rolls.
  4. Restaurants Definitely Not Serving Sushi
    Anything listed here I either called or visited, or found a review online that specifically said that sushi was not served. Please note that restaurant menus are subject to change; let me know if any restaurant listed here starts serving sushi.
  5. Restaurants That Are Closed
    Self-explanatory, although I've also included restaurants whose main phone numbers appear to be disconnected and for whom I have no other contact information.

Arrive early: there's usually a long line outside, and they don't take reservations. Remodeled in July 2002 to add more seating in back; slightly less cramped now, but still noisy during peak hours (i.e. always :). One of The Oregonian's 100 best Portland restaurants for 2004, and I agree: I've been here several times, and it's one of my faves.
